Xitact

Xitact are haptic device product by the company Mentice. Two models are handled in SOFA:

  • Xitact™ IHP: a haptic device designed to track the motion of a surgical instrument and to provide realistic force feedback during the simulation of a minimally invasive surgical procedure.
  • Xitact™ ITP: a device designed to track the motion of an instrument during the simulation of a minimally invasive surgical procedure.

Install

Here is a walkthrough on how to install, compile and use in SOFA:

  • Activate the plugin Xitact: SOFA-PLUGIN_XITACT,
  • Compile Sofa again,
  • This is it.
